Court Clears Biocytogen's RenNano(R) in Landmark Patent Dispute Against Harbour

The judgment marks a significant first-instance outcome in the litigation and further affirms the independent innovation and intellectual property compliance of Biocytogen's core technology platforms. It also provides greater clarity for existing and prospective partners evaluating the RenNano(R) platform, reinforcing confidence in the Company's technology platforms and long-term innovation capabilities.

The lawsuit was brought by Harbour in connection with a Chinese invention patent (Patent No. ZL201210057668.0) for which Harbour holds an exclusive license. Harbour had alleged that Biocytogen's RenNano(R) platform and certain antibody products generated using the platform infringed the asserted Chinese patent rights.

Biocytogen has always been committed to driving innovative drug discovery through proprietary technologies. The Company has established globally competitive technology platforms spanning gene editing, target-humanized animal models, and fully human antibody discovery, supporting its preclinical products and services business as well as its drug development efforts.

As a key component of Biocytogen's antibody discovery capabilities, the RenNano(R) platform continues to support global collaborations and the discovery of next generation VHH therapeutics.

Biocytogen believes that intellectual property protection is fundamental to advancing innovation in the biopharmaceutical industry. The Company places strong emphasis on the creation, protection, and compliant management of intellectual property while respecting the legitimate intellectual property rights of others.

This favorable first-instance judgment further underscores the originality and independence of Biocytogen's proprietary technologies and reinforces global confidence in the Company's technology platforms and research and development capabilities.

Looking ahead, Biocytogen will continue to drive independent innovation, strengthen its research and development capabilities, enhance its technology platforms, and create greater value for partners worldwide.
