Globalstar announced Thursday that Burlington Resources Canada, a division of Burlington Resources has purchased and activated 120 GSP-1600 handheld phones. This purchase, through Authorized Globalstar dealer Glentel, will help provide a dependable communications link for workers in the drilling, completion and construction areas of Burlington Resources. Burlington's large purchase of satellite phones reflects its commitment to safety and being proactive within the oil and gas industry. Globalstar satellite phones work in remote areas where traditional wireless services are unavailable, making Globalstar a valuable communications tool for aiding emergency communications in remote work areas.
